Connect Olaf, Ivy or Juno to Claude
Olaf, Ivy and Juno think with Claude, the AI made by Anthropic, on your own account. You pay Anthropic directly for what you use, and your key never leaves your browser except to go to Anthropic. Setting it up takes about five minutes, once.

The steps
- Make a Claude Console account
Go to console.anthropic.com and sign up with your email or Google account. Confirm your email. If it asks what you will build, “personal use” is fine. - Add a little credit
Open Settings → Billing (it may be called Plans & Billing), add a card and buy credit. The smallest amount, about $5, is enough to start. Leave auto-reload off if you never want to pay more than you put in. Under Settings → Limits you can also set a monthly spend limit. - Create your API key
Open Settings → API keys and click Create key. Name it something like “Busy Olaf” or “Busy Ivy”. Copy it straight away: it starts withsk-ant-and is shown only once. Lost it? Delete it and make a new one. - Paste it into Olaf, Ivy or Juno
The first time you start one, a guide asks for the key, tests it with a tiny request and saves it in that browser. You also set a monthly limit in Busy, and Busy stops sending requests when you reach it.
What it costs
Anthropic's list prices, in US dollars per million tokens (about 750,000 words) read / written, and what a typical conversation costs. A conversation here means Olaf, Ivy or Juno reading about 30,000 tokens of your files and the chat, and writing about 2,000. Estimates: long documents and web searches cost more.

Questions
Does my Claude Pro or Max subscription cover this?
No. Chat subscriptions and the API are billed separately by Anthropic. Olaf, Ivy and Juno use the API, which is pay-as-you-go.
Where is my key kept?
In the browser on your computer only: never in your business or growth folder, never on a Busy server (there is none). It is sent only to Anthropic, with each request.
What if someone gets my key?
Delete it in the console under Settings → API keys, make a new one and paste that in. The old one stops working at once.
Can I use it on two computers?
Yes. Paste the same key on each, or make one key per computer so you can switch one off on its own.
How do I see what I spent?
Busy shows an estimate for this month in AI settings. The exact amount is in the console under Usage and Billing.
