How to play
- ← → Walk
- Hold to walk. Leave a room on the right, once the way is free.
- Shift Run
- Hold it while you walk. Faster, for when someone has just looked away.
- Space Hop
- Over crates and low things. Works while you walk.
- ↓ Hide
- Only on a glowing spot on the floor. You duck behind what is there and nobody can see you. Press ↑ or an arrow to come out.
- E Use
- Does what the button says right now: pick up, snip, work a knot, cut someone loose. When it is dim, there is nothing to use here.
- F Hit
- Only with a hammer, so only Rivet: crates, snarls and posts.
- ↑ Climb
- At a rope or ladder, once it is there. Vines are only for Pim. ↓ takes you down again.
- Tab Swap
- When there are two of you, swap who you are. Nobody can do everything. The other one stays where you left them, which you sometimes need.
- Q Call someone
- Two of you fit on screen. Whoever you are now goes, and the next one comes in. The danger waits until they're here.
- T Throw
- Carrying a pot or a key? Hold T, move the spot with ← →, and let go. Rivet can lift a friend with E and throw them too.
- Hop, and hop again
- Tuck and Zip can hop up to a shelf's edge and pull themselves up. Zip and Pim can flip in the air and reach pipes. Zip and Ivy can catch ropes. On a rope, ← → swings and Space lets go.
- ↓ Roll
- While you walk: Tuck and Zip get under low tape.
- 1 to 6
- With three or more of you, go straight to someone: the numbers are at the top of the screen.
- Olaf and Juno
- Olaf's E reads the room: he shows what nobody else can see. Juno's E sends an official a letter, and an official has to stop and read it.
- The red light
- What a tangled figure can see. Stay out of it, or hide until it has gone past.
- Caught?
- You start that room again, straight away. Nothing is lost.
The bar at the bottom always shows what you can do: bright means now.
